Tina Rodrigue, M.D.

Dr. Tina Rodrigue is a Board-Certified Neurological Surgeon who specializes in the surgical treatment of congenital, traumatic and degenerative brain and spinal conditions, with an emphasis on minimally-invasive techniques where appropriate.

She was raised in upstate New York, and received her undergraduate degree from Colgate University.  She completed her medical and neurosurgical training at the Medical College of Virginia and Case Western Reserve University.  A member of the United States Naval Reserve since college, she spent three years on active duty at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center as a staff neurosurgeon, where she had the opportunity to treat military personnel and their families, with a variety of diseases including spinal degeneration, congenital malformations, trauma, brain tumors, and peripheral nerve compression.

Dr. Rodrigue works in conjunction with a variety of other specialists to help treat spinal problems non-surgically, if possible.  Physical therapy, chiropractic, and conservative pain management are usually attempted prior to consideration for surgery.  However, if surgery is necessary, she provides a number of different procedures which are useful for reducing pain, increasing spinal stability, and improving neurologic function.

Dr. Rodrigue resides in Portsmouth.  In her spare time she enjoys running, biking, swimming, and participates in many local road races.
